2. Movie Night
Does your gal love the movies? We find many groups having movie nights on their first night at Tranquility Ireland. Whether it is Moulin Rouge or Harry Potter, make it a theme and add fun elements such as themed treats, games and drinks. We have large, comfy sofas and widescreen TVs, even have an open fire or burning stove to add extra comfort. Cosy up in Pyjamas, sip tea or cocktails and enjoy your night.
3. Afternoon Tea
Beautiful china, delicious cake, a glass of bubbly and bottomless tea. Afternoon Tea has become quite a popular choice as it is suitable for everyone, even the Mammys and who doesn’t love cakes. Experience a beautiful vintage experience at Ruby Ellen’s Tea Rooms in Carlingford or we can organise it in the comfort of your accommodation.
4. Carlingford Farm
Carlingford Farm is a great activity for groups looking for a few hours craic. Your group will be split into teams competing against each other in different activities such as Milking a Cow, Sheering a Sheep, catching Pigs to name but a few. There is points for all the tasks, your group will be marked on speed, technique and of course in true farmer style “Who gets stuck in the best”. Carlingford farm takes about an hour and a half to two hours to complete. There will be a bus to pick you up from your accommodation and
take you out and back.
5. Life Drawing
A fun, stylish and artistic alternative way for the shy reserved or outgoing. Did you know there’s far more to life drawing than staring at naked people? Far less awkward than it may seem, life drawing is all about capturing the human form. Like all art, life drawing is all about perception and interpretation, there is no right or wrong way to do it. However there are a number of techniques that can help make a drawing look as realistic andto scale as possible.
6. Scavenger Hunt
A really fun activity to get to know others on the hen party, scavenger hunts are perfect for pairing hens off in teams to work together. Gather your girls up, provide a list of clues and a map of the hunt location and grab your camera and off you go! This is also a great idea for a girls night out on the town, simply make a list of items to find during the night such as coasters from each bar, photos with strangers, shot glasses etc. Whoever has the most impressive collection (as decided by the bride) at the end of the night wins a prize!
7. Escape Rooms
Do you have what it takes to solve the clues and escape
the room before the time runs out?
Infiltrate – “The year is 1982, Carlingford is a warzone with Hens and Stags. Marshall law is in place, one of your friends has been wrongfully locked up in the notorious Carlingford dungeon. the warden has gone on his lunch for 1 hour, find the clues, solve the problems and figure out the keypad code to escape or you will all be incarcerated for the night.”
Vacancy – “Exhausted after a long journey from Ardee hai, you arrive in Carlingford to find all the hotels booked out, an older man offers you a room in his old motel up the street and you kindly accept, you place your bag down on the freshly made bed, ready to relax. Suddenly, an ominous sixty minute countdown begins. No matter what you try, the door will not open. Welcome to the Carlingford Lough motel. You check in, but you NEVER check out…”

8. Flower Crown Workshop
Is your bride the ultimate DIY Queen? Then she will love getting hands-on with arts and crafts filled hen party.
A great activity to explore your inner creativity. You get to design and craft your own flower crown, with fresh flowers, foliage, ribbons and wire. This is a great keepsake to mark your celebration. This fun activity is perfect for a hen group, a birthday party, a baby shower or even just as a group of creative individuals. This Floral Crown Workshop is the perfect bonding experience for your friends and relatives along with the opportunity to learn a new skill.
This workshop will cover the use of a wonderful selection of Fresh Flowers and Garden Ones Too If in season, Variegated Ivy and Greenery, Selection of Ribbons, Florist Wire & Florist Tape.
Suitable for all ages with or without any craft experience.
9. Historical walking tour
Carlingford is a magical village, full of character and is one of the best preserved medieval villages in Ireland. Carlingford was raided by the Vikings in the 8th & 9th Centuries, historical records show that the Vikings occupied Carlingford Lough. They may have used the sheltered harbour as a temporary base, though, this is unclear as no factual evidence, apart from the name Carlingford has been recorded. Enjoy a historical walking experience!
10. Cocktail-Making Classes or Party
Cocktail-making, or mixology as it’s also known is the perfect activity before your big night out on the town. An easy activity that everyone will enjoy, it’s fun, lets the hens chat, mingle (and drink!) as well as learning a few new shaking and stirring skills!
This activity is an excellent way to get the party started. For 90 minutes you will have your very own bartender to bring you all your drinking needs. This activity will take place in your Accommodation. The choice is yours. Choose from a party where the bartender makes the cocktails and serves them to you or the class where the bartender demonstrates the making of your favourite cocktails which you can then toast with!
11. Dance Classes
For girls who want to bust some moves, a fun dance class might be just the ticket to start the night off with a bang.
A fun and energetic way to get the blood flowing and get everyone moving. This is always a crowd pleaser for groups.

Enjoy an activity that is relaxing, this hour-long activity is for wellness in mind and body. It takes you through the various poses with you own instructor. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a mastermind.
16. The Giddy Box
The Giddy Box is a Converted Rice Beaufort Horse Trailer into a Mobile Bar. offering tailored packages for your Event.
Wedding drinks receptions, Parties, Corporate or Charity Events.
17. Karaoke
If you are crazy about karaoke then why not spend the evening singing to your hearts content. karaoke gets everyone in high spirits and involved… eventually!

Have your own Dj come to your accommodation. Where you can request all your favourite hits!
18. Topless Waiter

Hire amazing electric bikes. You will get your bike, your helmet and your high vis jacket to set you off on your adventure. these bikes are less strenuous so you will still have energy for your evening activities. You will also get a map of the area to keep you on track.
